AMAZING FAT FLUSHING WATER
By: Kelly Lynn

DIRECTIONS:

First, you'll need 3 1/2 to 4 quarts of water in a pitcher. Use filtered water to make sure it is pure.
Thoroughly wash one lemon. Slice it thin, and add it to the water. You don't need to squeeze the juice out, just drop the slices in.
Peel and thinly slice one cucumber, and add to the water. Add 12 fresh, clean mint leaves.
Next, you will need one teaspoon of finely grated ginger. Make sure it is fresh ginger, not the dried powder from your spice rack. Add the ginger to the water.
Give it a quick stir, cover and place in the refrigerator over night. Drink it chilled throughout the following day.
Make a fresh batch every three to four day.

COMPETING, COACHES, AND CONTINUING

AFTER THE FALL

By: Kelly Lynn

So I can't tell you how many times I have had to deal with the fall out of a show that competitors may not have won. It breaks my heart, but someone must win and someone must lose.

This sport is expensive. So expensive that competitors may get a second job just to pay to compete in bodybuilding. Remember at the end of the day that it's just a competition and it's just a hobby first and foremost, and if you're lucky and work super hard and keep a level head and continue to push, you may make it to the nationals. Once you make it to the national level, the cost is outrageous. Then if you happen to turn pro, remember, only a few stand on that Olympia stage. This is NOT to discourage you. This is an honest coach telling you the truth. I won't sell you on some B.S. because it's not in my nature.

Genetics DO have a part in the winning circle. Symmetry is the second winning factor. Then, remember there are other physical attributes that have an effect on judging as well. If you chose to compete, reality will hit sooner or later. Be aware.

So on another note, you will run into many coaches. Good ones, bad ones, and questionable ones. Do your research. I will never blast any of the coaches, because every coach has made some winners. There are never going to be 100% happy customers in any field, and I, a coach, know this. So I don't fake the funk. I know it exists and I know I have people who love my coaching style and people that may not even like me. So I let them chose. It's not up to me.

To those competitors that have not made it to first, well guess what... EVERY WINNER WAS ONCE DEFEATED. If not, then every winner will eventually be defeated, so what will YOU decide to do? Cry about it or move forward and just keep on fighting. I say keep on fighting. To deal with the fallout I tell people to get up and dust it off. Get back on stage and give it all you got. Don't stop. If you want it, you will make it. If at first you don't succeed, dust yourself off and try again. You only miss 100% of the chances you DON'T take. So take that chance.

WHAT THE JUDGES ARE LOOKING FOR:

Symmetry: From top to bottom and from the side.  The glute/ ham tie-in is basically the tie-breaker when it comes to competition. There is a lot to be said about conditioning. The front of the body can look amazing, but the rear is the side of the body that determines a winner.

Nothing screams conditioning to the judges like the most neglected part of the body, the glutes and hamstrings. That's right, the butt. Judges can tell how much time you put in to those glutes. So work them hard and concentrate on the contraction when you work them.

STAGE PRESENCE

Be YOU on stage so you can have a signature walk, move, turn...it's about individuality. Do not fully copy others, once you learn the mandatory poses, don't change anything.  You gotta trust the coach and yourself.

This is the best fat burning scrub known to date, caffeine has been proven to decrease fat cells under the skin. One of the best known coffee scrub recipes I have compiled here:

DIY RECIPE:

Blend all of these ingredients together and store it in an airtight container.

Massage the scrub in circles on skin in the areas you need to concentrate on for fat loss. After a few weeks, those areas will have a greatly reduced appearance of fat and cellulite.

Turkey Chili

By: Kelly Lynn

2 tbsp vegetable or olive oil
1 stalk celery diced
2 green peppers diced
1 onion diced
1 tablespoon roasted garlic
1 20 oz package ground turkey
1 packet chili seasoning  mix
1 16 oz can chili beans or kidney beans
1 10 oz can of diced tomatoes and green chilis
1 8 oz can of tomato sauce (I use Hunts)

Preheat large sauce pan on medium-high. Place oil in the pan and stir to coat. Add the diced celery, peppers, and onion with the garlic, cooking 6- 8 minutes, stirring often until browned.
Reduce heat to medium and add the turkey until browned. (I cook my turkey in a seperate pan so I can strain it.)
Add in remaining ingredients and simmer on low for 10-12 minutes. (I let mine simmer for an hour.) You can also use a crock pot for all day cooking.
